Attaching and Detaching (Deleting) a Work Repository

Attaching a Work Repository

  1. Open the Topology Navigator:
    • Navigate to the Repositories panel.
  2. Create a New Work Repository:
    • Right-click the Work Repositories node.
    • Select New Work Repository from the context menu.
  3. Work Repository Creation Wizard:
    • The Work Repository Creation Wizard will open.
  4. Provide Connection Details:
    • Technology: Select the technology that will host your work repository (default is Oracle).
    • JDBC Driver: Choose the driver used to access the technology that will host the repository.
    • JDBC URL: Enter the complete path of the data server that will host the work repository. (Note: JDBC Driver and URL are synchronized based on selected technology).
    • User: Enter the User ID / login for the owner of the tables and host of the work repository.
    • Password: Enter the password for this user.
  5. Test the Connection:
    • Click Test Connection to verify that the connection is working correctly.
  6. Continue to Next Steps:
    • Click Next to proceed.
  7. Enter Work Repository Password:
    • Specify the password for the Oracle Data Integrator work repository you want to attach.
  8. Provide Work Repository Name:
    • Enter the Name of the work repository you wish to attach.
  9. Finish:
    • Click Finish to complete the process and attach the repository.

 

Deleting (Detaching) a Work Repository

  1. Expand Repositories Panel:
    • In the Topology Navigator, expand the Repositories panel.
  2. Select Work Repository:
    • Expand the Work Repositories node.
    • Right-click the work repository you want to delete.
  3. Delete Work Repository:
    • Select Delete from the context menu.
  4. Confirm Deletion:
    • A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Yes to confirm.
  5. Completion:
    • The work repository is detached from the master repository and removed from the Repositories panel in the Topology Navigator.
