Here are the steps to connect to a work repository:
- Open ODI Studio: Launch ODI Studio on your machine.
- Click Connect to Repository: In ODI Studio, click on the "Connect to repository" option.
- Enter Credentials from Step 8: Provide the credentials you specified in Step 8 of "Creating a Work Repository" to establish the connection.
If Login Name Was Not Created in Step 8:
- Open New Gallery Dialog: In ODI Studio, go to File > New to open the New Gallery dialog.
- Select ODI: In the Categories tree, select "ODI."
- Choose Create a New ODI Repository Login: From the list of items, select "Create a New ODI Repository Login."
- Click OK: Click on the OK button to proceed.
- Repository Connection Information Dialog: The "Repository Connection Information" dialog box will open.
- Enter ODI Connection Details:
- Login Name: Enter a generic alias (e.g., "Repository").
- User: Enter the ODI supervisor username or user name defined in the Security Navigator after the master repository creation.
- Password: Enter the ODI supervisor password or the user password from the Security Navigator.
- Specify Database Connection (Master Repository) Details:
- User: Enter the database user ID/login for the schema containing the ODI master repository.
- Password: Enter the database user's password.
- Driver List: Select the required driver from the drop-down list that supports the master repository's DBMS.
- Driver Name: Enter the full driver name.
- URL: Enter the JDBC connection URL for the database hosting the master repository.
- Test Connection: Click on the "Test" button to ensure the connection works properly.
- Select Work Repository: In the Work Repository section, specify the work repository details.
- Work Repository Name: Enter the name of your work repository (e.g., "WorkRep1"). You can also click the button to the right of this field to display available work repositories in the master repository.
- Click OK: Validate your entries by clicking OK.
