Creating a Dataset in a Mapping

1. Add a Dataset to the Mapping:

• Drag a dataset from the component palette into the logical diagram of the mapping.

2. Add Datastores to the Dataset:

• From the Models section of the Designer Navigator, drag datastores into the dataset. These datastores will be the data sources for your dataset.

3. Define Join and Lookup Relationships:

• Drag attributes from one datastore to another within the dataset.
• This defines the join and lookup relationships between the datastores.

4. Integrate the Dataset into the Data Flow:

• Drag a connection from the dataset's output connector point to the input connector point of other components in your mapping.
• This action integrates the dataset into your overall data flow.
