- Locate the Datastore in the Designer Navigator:
- Expand the Models tree.
- Expand the model or sub-model containing the datastore you want to use as a source or target.
- Insert the Datastore:
- Select the datastore and drag it into the mapping panel. The datastore will now appear in the panel.
- Make the Datastore a Source:
- To define the datastore as a source, drag a link from the output (right) connector of the datastore to one or more components.
- A datastore becomes a source only when it has at least one outgoing connection.
- Make the Datastore a Target:
- To define the datastore as a target, drag a link from a component to the input (left) connector of the datastore.
- A datastore becomes a target only when it has an incoming connection.
Steps to View Data of a Datastore in a Mapping:
- Open the Data Editor:
- Right-click the title of the datastore in the mapping diagram.
- Select Data... from the context menu.
- View the Data:
- The Data Editor opens, allowing you to view the data of the datastore.
