Source and Target Datastores

  1. Locate the Datastore in the Designer Navigator:
    • Expand the Models tree.
    • Expand the model or sub-model containing the datastore you want to use as a source or target.
  2. Insert the Datastore:
    • Select the datastore and drag it into the mapping panel. The datastore will now appear in the panel.
  3. Make the Datastore a Source:
    • To define the datastore as a source, drag a link from the output (right) connector of the datastore to one or more components.
    • A datastore becomes a source only when it has at least one outgoing connection.
  4. Make the Datastore a Target:
    • To define the datastore as a target, drag a link from a component to the input (left) connector of the datastore.
    • A datastore becomes a target only when it has an incoming connection.

Steps to View Data of a Datastore in a Mapping:

    • Right-click the title of the datastore in the mapping diagram.
    • Select Data... from the context menu.
  2. View the Data:
    • The Data Editor opens, allowing you to view the data of the datastore.
